WHAT DOES THE RENTAL RATE INCLUDE?
SCOOTERS: Our scooter rental service includes two helmets, basic protection with excess, free cancellation with 24 hours notice, roadside assistance, unlimited kilometers and discount for online reservations. BICYCLES: Our bicycle rental service includes a helmet, lock, free cancellation with 24-hour notice, roadside assistance and discount for online reservations.
WHAT IS REQUIRED TO RENT A VEHICLE? DO I NEED ANY SPECIAL LICENCE?
SCOOTERS: Be at least 18 years old, have your passport or ID, a credit card or cash to pay the deposit and your driver's license. To rent a bike in Spain you need to have a valid driving license. BICYCLES: Passport or ID, credit card or cash to pay the deposit.
WHICH DRIVING LICENSE DO I NEED FOR DRIVING YOUR SCOOTERS?
The minimum requirements of our rental points are in the following list. The categories mentioned correspond to the official European driving license categories. 50CC SCOOTER: Min. 18 years, B/AM driving license, B (more than 1 year of experience). 125CC SCOOTER: Min. 18 years, A1/A or Min 21 years and 3 years of experience with B. 3-WHEEL SCOOTER: Min. 18 years, A1/A or 3+ years of experience with B. 300CC SCOOTER: Min. 21 years and A category driving license. QUAD: Min. 21 years old, B driving license with 3+ years of experience. *Note: If your driver license is not from a country of the European Economic Union or from a country without convenience agreement with Spain, you need to have an international driving permit (IDP). Likewise, the valid documents are regulated by the law stated by the country where you are driving, not the document’s origin country.
DO I HAVE TO LEAVE A DEPOSIT?
Yes. You need to pay a security deposit for the scooter or motorbike. The deposit can only be paid by credit card. No charge will be made if no event occurs that requires it. The deposit is € 150 for our scooter groups A, A2, B, C and D; € 300 for our scooter groups E and F; € 750 for our group G scooter.
CAN THE SCOOTER BE USED BY TWO PEOPLE?
Yes. You can ride all our scooters with a passenger.
CAN I DRIVE WITHOUT A HELMET?
No. It is absolutely prohibited to drive a scooter without a helmet on. Both, the driver and the passenger must wear a helmet even if it is a 50cc scooter.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE AN ACCIDENT OR THE SCOOTER IS STOLEN?
You are fully covered by the insurance for damages against third parties. For damages caused to the scooter, or theft of the scooter, the insurance reduces the amount to be paid to an excess – in a case of compliance with the rental agreement. There is also the possibility to get an excess reduction for your scooter insurance.
WHAT IS COVERED BY THE INSURANCE?
The insurance which is already included in the rental price covers third party damages. The damages on the scooter or theft are covered with a excess from 484€ to 968€, depending on scooter type. All the accessories (helmets, top case, lock etc.) are not covered by the insurance and are paid apart in case of loss or damage.
CAN I TRAVEL OUTSIDE THE ISLAND OF FORMENTERA?
IS IT POSSIBLE TO PURCHASE A FULL COMPREHENSIVE / EXTRA INSURANCE?
Yes. You can purchase an extra insurance with different access reduction limits in a case of damages or theft of the scooter.
DO YOU HAVE DELIVERY SERVICE?
Yes, we do. You can add extra Delivery / Pick up service and we will bring your scooter to the location which fits you the best.
POSSO MODIFICARE LA PRENOTAZIONE?
Yes, you can modify your booking with more than 24 hours before the booking date and time by sending your request to email@example.com. Modifications within 24 hours before the booking starts are not allowed.
WHAT IF I CANCEL MY RESERVATION?
Our cancellation policy is the following: To cancel a reservation the renter must send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with more than 24 hours prior to the pick-up date. If the renter cancels his reservation more than 24 hours prior to the pick-up date, a refund of the paid amount will be made (100%). If the renter cancels the reservation less than 24 hours prior to the pick-up date, no refund will be made.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I RETURN MY SCOOTER LATER THAN THE RETURN DATE STATED IN THE CONTRACT?
The renter has to inform the rental shop about any contract extensions in advance. Due to the contract conditions, Moto Rent Mitjorn will charge 50€ fee and cost of extra time in case of late return without being informed. Moreover, it is illegal to drive with an expired rental contract. In case the renter would like to extend the contract it is necessary to inform the shop and to have an updated contract, which can be picked up from the shop or sent by email.
DO I NEED TO FILL THE TANK WITH PETROL?
Yes, you must refill the tank to the same level as it was at the pick-up. Any difference in the gasoline level will be charged according to the terms and conditions. No refund will be made in case of returning the scooter with extra gasoline.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MITJORN OFFICE AND A MITJORN DELIVERY POINT?
In order to be present in as many locations as possible and to offer you the best of services, we have two types of stores: Mitjorn Office and Mitjorn Delivery Points. The difference between each of these rental points is as follows: MITJORN OFFICE: This is an official Mitjorn office. You can easily recognize it by our logo at the entrance and by the design of the store with our corporate brand identity. DELIVERY POINT: this is a specific meeting point where we deliver the motorcycle / s that you have rented. You will not find a physical store but our Mitjorn team will deliver and collect the scooter on the exact date and time that you have indicated in your reservation. This will be the point of both delivery and return of the vehicle. In all Mitjorn rental points we offer the same excellent service, as well as a wide and varied fleet of new motorcycles, extras and services for your total comfort.
CAN I BOOK A SCOOTER FOR MORE THAN 30 DAYS?
Yes. Mitjorn offers the possibility of renting a scooter per months. The minimum rental period is one month, and the maximum is 48 months.

Yes, our technical assistance is free of charge. And is only available during office hours.
¿CUANTO SE TARDA EN DEVOLVER EL DEPÓSITO DEL ALQUILER?
Pre autorización: ten en cuenta que esta cantidad no está cobrada, solo se pide al banco que la bloquee durante la duración de tu alquiler, una vez finalizado este, se libera automáticamente, esto no genera movimiento de cobro o abono en tu cuenta.
Depósito: El abono lo realizamos de manera automática tras devolver el vehículo, el reintegro en el saldo de tu tarjeta depende de la entidad bancaria, puede tardar entre 7 y 15 días.
Efectivo: Los depósitos en efectivo se devuelven directamente en la oficina de devolución al finalizar el alquiler.
Recuerda que este importe siempre se desbloquea en la cuenta asociada a la tarjeta de crédito con la que hayas efectuado el depósito.
